the bait wherever you want it... deep, shallow or anywhere in between.
Fishing the weed edges? Nothing covers edges from top to bottom like a
Big Joe. Fishing open water? Count your Big Joe
down to the desired depth and it will stay there from the beginning of your
retrieve through the sharp up turn to your figure-8. Weed pockets can also
be picked with short casts and retrieving the lure with your rod pointed
slightly up using the reel to twitch the bait up and out of the pockets.
Be prepared for a strike as the lure reaches the surface. Try your
Big Joe after the sun goes down but hang on to your rod because the
strikes are vicious.
